Tuesday AS NEEDED
Wednesday AS NEEDED
Thursday AS SCHEDULED (5:30PM-8:30PM DURING ROOTED GROUP SEASON)
Friday None
Saturday AS NEEDED

Hours per week: 5-10 hours

Status: Hourly NON EXEMPT | $16.50/hr

General Functions:

Provide and maintain a safe and caring environment for the children at EastLake Church Events.

Supervision Received:

Reports directly to Children’s Ministry Associate Pastor and/or Supervisor on-site.

Scope & Dimensions:

Interacts with all staff and volunteers. Create relevant, fun, and engaging experiences for the children (and families) in our care.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Directly supervise and monitor the safety of children in their care.
  2. Listen attentively to families during drop-off/pass down. Offer positive anecdotes during pick-up.
  3. Follow schedules and routines; interact and play with children, assist in snack times, and change diapers/assist children to restroom (as needed. Adult background-checked females only).
  4. Maintain sanitary conditions, including cleaning rooms and toys. Sanitize mouthed toys immediately.
  5. Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  6. Respond to communications from church staff/supervisor via email/text in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain appropriate language and conversation topics during working hours/while on campus.
  8. Carry a welcoming, happy, and approachable demeanor with a friendly customer service attitude.
  9. Commit to schedule as assigned.
  10. Know and display our Eastlake Network Staff team values.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  1. CPR/FIRST-AID certification desired.
  2. Experience with caring for children of multiple age ranges and developmental levels.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Additional duties as assigned.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  1. Mobile – In and out of office to ensure task completion.
  2. Church staff are required to abide by the Cultural Expectations (conduct, etc.).

  • As a staff person at Eastlake Community Church, I agree to abide by all the provisions of the Employee Handbook.
  • The Church reserves the right, at any time, with or without notice, to alter or change job responsibilities, reassign or transfer job positions, or assign additional job responsibilities.
  • This position is classified by the Church as a PART TIME paid position and is non-exempt from the overtime provisions, as stated in the Employee Handbook.
  • As a staff person at EastLake Church, I agree to come to work every time I have been scheduled for; I understand that in the case of unexcused absences, Eastlake Church will enforce its performance correction process.
