Community Adversity Support Team (CAST) is a group of volunteers called upon by Chula Vista Police and Fire. As a team, CAST covers our city 24/7/356. Team members respond immediately to the scene of traumatic events, including death. We provide assistance, care, and compassion for those encountering what is probably the worst day in their lives. Training, offered January-April annually, is required, and applications for that training are now open. Police background is needed.
