Your collective generosity has allowed us to assist Community Through Hope with the purchase of a mobile shower to help their unsheltered clients get access to hygiene facilities. For the first time, the city of Chula Vista and the South Bay will have their own mobile unit! Check out this message from Executive Director, Rosy Vasquez.
Thank you for being faithful in generosity so that we can continue to BE THE CHURCH in our community! 💕👊🏽 #BETheChurch
Last weekend was another amazing I ♥️ CV Serve Weekend as thousands of our church family gathered together showing the love as we painted, weeded, planted, scraped, built, cleaned, packed, and more all across the city. We are back on campus this weekend at all our normal service times and will be sharing some of the stats and stories as we unleashed the love all over Chula Vista!
We had so much fun at our annual all-church Beach Baptisms. We celebrated with over 50 friends who took the plunge and were baptized. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the afternoon so fun and so special.
Last weekend we gathered almost 400 of our closest EastLake Church Network friends for our second ever EastLakeCon. And it was pretty amazing. To stand together and worship with friends from all campuses was such a powerful moment and a great launching point to living out God’s purposes in our lives. Thanks to all who attended and helped make this event so special.
30 people took the plunge and rededicated their lives to Christ! Thank you to those who came out and helped make this day amazing!

In 2018, the EastLake Church Network sent a team of volunteers to serve the people of Palawan, Philippines. We joined forces with another church network called, Philippine Christian Fellowship, to provide supplies, funds, and medical care to the surrounding communities. Our team worked directly with the church network through their Bible school, churches and orphanage (children’s home) called Door of Hope. You can check out our upcoming mission trips on our outreach page.
Once again EastLake Church proudly hosted A Night To Remember prom for students with special needs. Over 400 volunteers from the community help to put on this event which hosts honored guests for a night of limo rides, dancing, photos, and fun! Our church campus is transformed into a dance hall, makeup and hair salon, photography studio and more as our honored guests are honored from start to finish. Thanks to everyone who helps make this happen and truly create a night to remember for so many.
The Grill and the Thrill!
On February 1, we held our annual men’s tailgate at our Chula Vista location. What happened at the event? Well, on the advice of our attorneys, we can’t get into all of the details, but we made sure to cover all of the standard elements: mayhem, comedy, immature behavior, grilled meats, and corn hole. The night began with an epic tailgate in the parking lot, where we hung out, had fun, and ate a lot more than we should have. It continued with our “Man Up” event in the east auditorium, where we had great music, worship, and an awesome talk from Pastor James with his dad, Papa G!
If you were at the tailgate, you’ll remember that Pastor James mentioned that he’d post the notes from his talk for you to access online. In case you’re looking for those notes, you can find them here!
Make sure to join us for our next men’s tailgate!
We had a great time at Worship Night last weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the nights so special. Take a look back at some of the sights and sounds.
On Sunday July 22nd, 30 people from Venice Church made the decision to be baptized at Venice Beach. We’re excited for them and are celebrating with them! Check out this video that highlights that incredible day.
